Return Policy

Our products are carefully selected to provide our customers with the premium quality and value that they’ve come to expect from us. Occasionally a product will not meet those expectations and we will do our best to work with our customers to find a solution. Because circumstances can vary, returns must be considered on a case-by- case basis. The terms and conditions below are meant to be used as a general guideline.

Our Product Return Policy

You may call in your return to the store and we will arrange to pick up the return on your next delivery. Returns can also be made in the store. A store credit will be issued less the delivery charge. Delivery Charges are non-refundable.

  • All items returned for store credit must be accompanied by the original sales receipt.
  • Store credit will be issued on items returned with a receipt within 30 days from the date of purchase for product that is in salable condition with all original packaging.
  • No store credit or exchanges will be given for special orders or clearance items.
  • Store credit for items purchased by a check require a 10 day waiting period.
  • Returns with a gift receipt will receive store credit that is not redeemable for cash.

Returns without a Receipt

Any request for a refund without a receipt requires management approval. If approved, your refund will be in the form of store credit which is not redeemable for cash at any time.

Exchanges are only possible in store at this time.

Refunds for Online Purchases:

For return eligible unopened items with tags, refunds will be made in the original form of payment. In case of mail-in returns, please allow 7-10 business days for processing after we have received your return.

Special return guidelines:

We are unable to take back returns for the following items if they have been opened - treats, bones and chews, canned food and supplements. We do understand that occasionally, you will be unhappy with products have been opened. We would need you to take the products back to your local Village Mercantile store along with a copy of your order confirmation email. These returns will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately, we cannot accept mail-in returns for any opened items.

Cancellations:

Our fulfillment centers strive to get your shipments to you as soon as possible. This means that we cannot cancel orders once they have been placed. However, we want you to be happy with your purchase and accept returns on most unopened items with tags within 30 days of purchase. For details, see return policy at top of page.

The Village Mercantile LLC disclaims responsibility for errors in pricing, for the use or misuse of any products described in this website, and for any losses incurred through the use of products according to methods described in this website. Always refer to and follow the label directions. The Village Mercantile LLC specifically does not authorize anyone, its agents or employees, to recommend any product sold by The Village Mercantile LLC in any way other than according to manufacturer's current label directions. The Village Mercantile LLC will not be responsible for carrier errors or delays caused by the carrier or the weather. We reserve the right to limit quantities.
