We are excited to announce that we are now a NM Safe Certified business. This means that our staff has completed the training modules and our company has aligned with the #NMSafeCertified brand. Starting Saturday, April 4th, we will be closing at 5:30pm Monday - Saturday, instead of 6:30pm, to clean and restock the store. Sunday hours will remain the same.
Currently, we are not accepting returns on goods purchased during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we will continue to honor exchanges for items pulled incorrectly by staff. Please see a manager with questions and/or concerns.
Curbside ordering is no longer available for plants and seeds.
To purchase plants without coming inside the store:
- Visit our outdoor garden center.
- Leave your selections on the table just outside the door.
- Call us from outside or your vehicle and we will complete your transaction over the phone.

We are OPEN! While the Governor has issued Stay at Home orders, we want to assure you that Agriculture related feed businesses (such as Village Mercantile Home and Farm Store) are considered essential business and therefore do not fall under these orders. Our plan is to continue to serve you to the best of our abilities.
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of local support and we appreciate you all! As of now we are open regular business hours (Monday-Saturday 8:30am - 6:30pm & Sundays 10:00am - 5:00pm). We do offer call-in/drive-up service as well as home delivery.
If this situation worsens, we have plans in place and are prepared to implement them as needed in order to keep the store running. At this time we are not seeing any shortages from our suppliers. We may run low on products but that is only due to increased buying. We are restocking as fast as we possibly can.
Please remember to be patient, respect the 6' rule, and be kind to your neighbors. We are all in this together and together we will get through it!

To Our Valued Friends and Customers,
We want to take a moment to address the current COVID-19 situation and the actions that The Village Mercantile is taking to protect the health and safety of our customers, employees, neighbors and our pets. First, we would not be here without you and your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our employees, is of our upmost concern at this time.
For that reason, we have put into place the best practice guidelines set forth by the CDC for preventing the spread of the virus. In addition to our regular cleaning regimen, we will be increasing the frequency of these cleanings to happen multiple times a day and will be paying special attention to high contact surfaces such as door handles, counter tops, payment terminals, shopping carts and baskets, etc. Employees will be increasing the frequency of their handwashing and use of hand sanitizer. Employees experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms will not be permitted to work. And, as much as we appreciate you, we ask that you not come into the store if you are experiencing any symptoms.
With that being said, if you would prefer to not come into the store to shop or if you are ill, you may call in your order to the store at (505) 897-9328, pay with your credit card over the phone and we will bring your order out to your car. We ask that you allow us 30 minutes to pull your order before coming to the store and to call us upon your arrival. We are also continuing to deliver orders (for a small fee) Monday through Friday.
As we all know, this situation is ever-changing and, we are constantly monitoring best practices for your safety and ours. We will post any changes to our Facebook and Instagram pages as soon as they are available. We will only send emails as we feel they are necessary and warranted.
