We are excited to announce that we are now a NM Safe Certified business. This means that our staff has completed the training modules and our company has aligned with the #NMSafeCertified brand. For you, our valued customers, it means that our business is now part of a community that has prioritized the implementation of COVID-Safe Practices to ensure all of us— customers, employees, and families—remain safe as New Mexico opens for business and recreation.

Return Policy:

Currently, we are not accepting returns on goods purchased during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we will continue to honor exchanges for items pulled incorrectly by staff. Please see a manager with questions and/or concerns.

    To Our Valued Friends and Customers,

    As we enter into another phase of the pandemic, we want to take a moment to review the actions that The Village Mercantile is taking to protect the health and safety of our customers, employees, neighbors and our pets. First, we appreciate all of your support during this difficult time. We would not be here without you and your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our employees, is of our upmost concern at this time. We have been incredibly fortunate to not have any incidence of the virus among our staff and we continue to work diligently to keep it that way.

    In order to create the safest environment possible and remain open to serve your needs, we have put into place the best practice guidelines as set forth by the CDC and the New Mexico Safe Certified commission for preventing the spread of the virus. 

    This includes that ALL employees and guests MUST wear a face mask to shop in the store. This is mandatory (except for children under 2 years of age). If you do not wish to wear a face mask, we offer several options for curbside pick-up and delivery that are outlined below. Please take advantage of one of those options.

    We continue our frequent cleaning using CDC approved cleaners with special attention to high contact surfaces such as door handles, counter tops, payment terminals, shopping carts and baskets, etc. Employees will be increasing the frequency of their handwashing and use of hand sanitizer. Employees experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms are not permitted to work and anyone potentially exposed to the virus is required to present a negative test before coming back to work.  And, as much as we appreciate you, we ask that you not come into the store if you are experiencing any symptoms, have been potentially exposed or have received a positive test result.

    Due to current occupancy restrictions, if you are coming into the store, we ask that you minimize the number of people in your group. If we are at occupancy, you may be asked to wait outside before entering the store. We ask that you please be patient. We understand how frustrating this time is for everyone but know that we are working as quickly as possible to keep things moving. 

    We have several options for you to shop without coming into the store.  For all of these options call us at (505) 897-9328.

    1. Contactless Curbside Pick-Up - if you would prefer to not come into the store to shop or if you are ill, you may call in your order to the store at (505) 897-9328, pay with your credit card over the phone and we will bring your order out to your car. We ask that you allow us 30 minutes to pull your order before coming to the store and to call us upon your arrival. Please stay in your vehicle for loading, especially if you are sick. 
    1. 5-5-5 Delivery – if you need items delivered, we offer a $5 delivery within 5 miles of the store for up to 5 items. This is a great option for pet food, hardware items, cleaning products, bagged livestock feed. This service is not available for forage products. This service is available Monday through Friday. 
    1. Regular Delivery Service – available for delivery of anything and everything in the store, including hay products. Fees vary based on your location. This service is available Monday through Friday.
    1. Shop Online – visit our website at www.thevillagemercantile.com for many of the products you need. Keep in mind that some products are available as special orders and are not stocked in store, please contact us with any questions.

    If one of these options does not work for you, or if you find yourself financially or physically unable to manage these options, please call us! We are here to help and will do everything we can to accommodate your needs. Our goal is to keep everyone safe and that everyone be able to feed their animals without disruption.

    This has been a difficult year for us all and we continue to work diligently to keep product on the shelves, keep you and our employees safe, and still operate as efficiently as possible. We will continue to monitor and adjust our practices to ensure your safety and ours. We will post any changes to our Facebook and Instagram pages as soon as they are available. We will only send emails as we feel they are necessary and warranted.
