FLSA: Non-exempt | Type: Full-time

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday (seasonal overtime during spring/fall peaks)


Role Summary

The Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operator ensures customers receive accurate, safe, and timely deliveries of feed and farm/ranch supplies while keeping the warehouse organized, clean, and well-stocked. This hybrid role splits time between local deliveries (flatbed/pickup with trailer) and in-store warehouse work such as receiving, staging, and order picking.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do
Delivery (Route & Customer Service)

Safely operate light/medium-duty trucks (often with trailers) for local deliveries to farms, ranches, and job sites.
Perform pre-/post-trip inspections; report and tag out defects.
Load, secure, and unload hay, bagged feed, fencing, mineral tubs, and other bulky items.
Provide friendly, professional on-site service; verify counts, obtain signatures, and resolve simple issues.
Warehouse & Inventory

Receive inbound product (palletized and bagged), verify counts/condition, and stage to locations.
Pick, pack, and stage customer orders accurately; maintain clean, safe aisles and yard.
Rotate stock using FIFO/FEFO; track lot codes where required.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and telehandlers (training available).
Carry out and load items for in-store customers.
Safety & Compliance

Follow load securement, lifting techniques, PPE, and equipment SOPs.
Handle dusty products, chemicals, and propane exchanges per store procedures and SDS guidance.
Participate in daily equipment checks, incident reporting, and housekeeping.
Team & Store Support

Communicate status of routes and warehouse priorities.
Assist at the counter during busy periods.
Embody a helpful, customer-first mindset.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical & Work Environment
Frequent standing, walking, and bending; regularly lifting 50–100 lbs (team lifts and mechanical aids available).
Indoor/outdoor work in varying weather with exposure to dust, noise, and farm environments.
PPE provided per task requirements.

Experience

Minimum Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and insurable MVR; confident backing and maneuvering with trailers.
Ability to regularly lift 50 lb bags and bales; lift up to 100 lb bales and handle awkward items (with or without reasonable accommodation).
1+ year of experience in delivery driving, warehouse, construction, agriculture, or other hands-on work.
Basic equipment skills (forklift/pallet jack) and willingness to certify.
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early mornings, some weekends, and seasonal overtime.
Strong communication skills; basic math for counts/weights; smartphone/app comfort for routing and proof-of-delivery.
Preferred

Forklift certification, telehandler or skid-steer experience.
Knowledge of feed, animal health products, fencing, seed/fertilizer, or propane exchanges.
