Template FAQ's

What elements of FrontPage are used in this template?

How much must I know about CSS to use this template?

Basically, none (assuming you don't intend to change the design/layout).  We have marked the HTML/Code section of the pages with comments to show you where to insert your own text.

How much experience is required to use this template?

Many "beginner" webmasters may be able to use this template without complications; however, due to the more advanced design features incorporated, we recommend you have at least "intermediate" FrontPage knowledge and a basic understanding of the HTML environment.

Can I change the colors and background image?

This really depends on your own graphical skills, as well as your ability to manipulate colors in a style sheet.  Our background image has been graphically colored to fade to the main background color used in the style sheet.  If you make your own image exactly as we have made ours, you should have little additional trouble.

Can I insert my own images into the body portion?

Well, yes and no.  With the current design using CSS opacity settings for the "see-through" appearance on the pages, your images will assume the same transparency as the page on which you place them.  You may like the effect; if not, you'd need to be familiar enough with CSS to make a new style with no opacity settings for pages containing your own images.

Can I use your images for business cards/brochures/ads?

No.  We have paid the appropriate licensing fees for you to use the imagery free of copyright infringement for a web site only.  If you wish to use the imagery for other purposes, you will need to obtain your own license.  Please refer to the license agreement included with this template for additional details.

Why do the pages "look funny" in FrontPage Normal/Design view?

When CSS is used for layout purposes, the resulting finished look isn't apparent in the WYSIWYG environment.  Sometimes it is close; sometimes it is *really* different.  To see how your pages will look published, use the FrontPage "Preview" function or select "File, Preview in Browser" from the FrontPage menu.

Why doesn't my form work?

Your form has to be programmed according to your own server to work.  Please refer to our general template FAQs on our web site for more information.
